Default a - back fire
hey, guys I some help I have a 74vette 350.with 82.000, in the past I notice my tach was not running the way it should be /the engine also, the tach should run with the engine . am I right when I shut the engine off the tach will freeze, then the engine will run very rough.until the the tach runs good again. then and only then it will run fine . any suggestions will help. thxs

The stock tach is mechanical. It should drop to zero when the engine stops.

When was the last time you tuned the car?

If you shut the engine off, how does the engine run very rough?

After-running. A good tune-up and setting the timing should fix that.
