All I meant was that someone paid 65 grand for a c7 then wrecked it. Thanks!

oh, sorry, I didn't get it. right, wrecking 65 grand...what a pain. Also, for fitting the c7 interior, did you need to do a lot of welding? I can't wait to see your final product

When I first saw the pictures of the c7 components I laughed and said no way. I'm astounded by your perseverance and creativity to put this together and stick with it. I made my interior from scratch and know how tight it is. To make this work is just incredible and your doing a very clean job. If I have one suggestion it would be to revisit the black panel you made on the upper passenger side. A tiny bit more filling and shaping would help the highlights and really make the fit meant to be.
Keep it up, I will be watching along.

I'm still kicking! And she's still in my garage - it's not going anywhere.

So I'm slowly getting back into the 'Vette and trying to get a game-plan together (which I'm sure will go to hell in a short time...). One issue I am running into is the driver's door, In the pictures below you can see a small area in the front of the door that looks kind of chipped - it's hitting the door hinge on the backside if I swing it all the way open. I did replace the s-bars in the hinge, the pins and I think I replaced the hinges themselves, but I honestly can't remember. The passenger's door doesn't do this, it stops short of where the front of the door would contact the hinge.

It's harder than hell to get a decent angle for a photo, but looking down you can almost see where the door would contact the hinge in the center part (where the two sides almost meet).

Did I get something installed incorrectly, is the S-bar not seated correctly, or... Anyone have any ideas at all? Everything seems seated and stable, but I'm at a loss here.

Default Update?

Is this project still in the works? Looks like an insane amount of work into it already and would love to see the end result.
