Anyone put one of these in a C3 ? I'm thinking of using it to connect by bluetooth to OBDII and display gauges for the Torque app. I want a removable mount so I would not leave it in the car.

Does a droid or an iphone give you enough real estate to display what you want? I mounted an iPod under my ash tray opening and can read the gauges with an obd wifi adapter. The problem I have with it is that it is laying flat and hard to see in the daylight. I mostly used it until I had the real gauges hooked up to monitor temp. And stuff.
I sometimes put my iphone on my dash. It fits perfectly there and is no higher than my stock cowl hood so it is not in my way. I am thinking about making a holder so it can sit there without falling over.
I am putting that off because I would want to run a hidden power cord to it and that would require taking the dash off again.
Right now I would rather drive it. Perhaps this winter.
I was kind of liking the small tablet on a stick sort of thing for 2 large gauges that i could position up close to the upper mid console and still be able to move it around. Could also use it for nav and other stuff. May need to have a custom adaptation of an aftermarket kind of mount.
