I have had it with the headers on my 73, they are hot, they leak and they are about to be gone. I have them wrapped in header wrap and it is still hot. I have several sets of exhaust manifolds here but I don`t know what came on the car is it the old rams horns or what? Can someone post a pic of what the stock manifolds looked like so I can find a set for my car. I just want to be able to enjoy my car without gas boiling in the carb, vapor lock and I really don`t like the look of all that header wrap under my hood anyway.
Clean them thoroughly and wipe with acetone or laquer thinner. Then give a nice coat with some manifold gray - it will keep them looking great for years.

Thanks Pete I pulled her headers off tonight, I will sandblast and paint the headers as soon as I can get some of that grey, I was going to use hi temp black but that grey looks much better

I don't have any before/after temp measurements, etc, but I really like my Jet Hot coated BBC manifolds.
