I took off a set of Hookers since the chrome was in bad shape and installed Doug's. With the Doug's I was able to remove the notched rocker panels and install good rocker panels without having to notch them. There was good clearance at the rocker panels. Very pleased with the Doug's. I installed Sweet Thunder inserts they are loud with the BB but I love them.

To install the headers and side pipes do the rocker panels have to be modifiied ?
I've got a set of OBX side pipes never been installed. Will make you a very good deal on them. PM me if interested. I went with a different exhaust system and no longer need these.

I'd say this depends on several variables that are often overlooked:
-Condition of body mounts (sagging and allowing body to sit low)
-Engine mounts (some sit high; old rubber may sag and allow engine to sit low; solid or poly may have engine sitting where it is supposed to be
-Standard vs raised ports on the heads
-Actual fitment and trueness of the headers
The reason I say this is that I've seen experiences that are all over the map on this topic...however, they should fit without notching the rockers...
