Default Orphan plug on engine harness???

Trying to get the engine compartment wired up and I have a plug that I cannot identify. I looked through all the photos I took and referenced the wiring diagram with no luck (maybe I am overlooking it).
It is a two prong plug, one orange wire and one black with purple tracer. The plug exits the harness near the wiper motor.

Any guesses?

Screen name is 70, so maybe a 70? It looks a bit like my 70. TCS gas pedal switch for an automatic says my wire diagram. If you have a stick it might not have anything to plug into. I found a few of those when I did mine.

It is a 1970 (mostly...LOL).

You are correct, it is the connector for the kick-down switch. I was just a little baffled on why it was on the engine side of the harness. I used the ohm meter and tracked it to the end that would be plugged into the transmission solenoid. It will get secured out of the way since I installed a manual during my rebuild.

Thanks to everyone that has looked into this.
