Our car has finally come down off the jack stands, first time it's had its new tires back on since November. I think I've rebuilt, repaired, painted, probed as much as I can, haven't found any other major issues to hold me back now,and it's finally time to put the engine in. I'm more excited than a 5 year old at Christmas!! I was never a vette guy, but haven grown to love these cars as quirky as they are. My 15 year old son is going to help me, and for a father there is no better thing. Thanks for all the people who have contributed help and put up with my annoying asking of where this part goes lol. I'm sure there'll be more this forum is one of best ones I've been on. For a car that just "needed a cam, arm rest and tires" it's been a long haul, just to drive it. Hooo-Ah! Engine is a little plain but I wanted a clean stock look.
Match made in heaven lol
Congratulations on getting to this point of your build and yes it's pretty awesome that your 15 yr old son is helping out with the build. If I may suggest (and you probably have come to this on your own), remove the distributor before you install the motor, could end up destroyed if not... just a thought
Awesome progress on the Vette Toonz! And I do think that sky photo of your Vette is really cool. Its just more proof that the C-3 looks great from EVERY! angle.
Continued luck getting her up and running.
Tooonz, I couldn't help but notice the car cover in the background. What is the brand name of this cover? BTW the Vette looks sharp, what color is that shade of blue?
Vette fetish, the cover is from Shelter Logic, I bought it slightly used off of craigslist for $150, they usually go around $300.00 and I believe Home Depot sells them. The color blue is a weird shade, in Sunlight it looks blue, anything less than that and it appears black. I really like the blue, but I wish it was a shade or two lighter. It'll have to do for now. the hardest part now is trying to remember where everything went, mostly the stupid ground cables lol. That's ok, made good progress tonight, fixed a few more bubba do's.

TY for the info regarding the car cover. Last night I received a call from the transport company we hired to transport our newest purchased 73 L82 from Texas. We live in Missouri, hopefully the 73 will arrive today. The color of that 73 is dark blue, car was originally silver. I'm not certain the blue is a Corvette Blue. the person we are buying from says he owned this 73 for 4 years and it was repainted when he bought it. Owner says the car is in excellent condition all way round. We will see,,,, Hopefully his idea of excellent is close to mine!
