Google links to model car forums. They have folks who replate plastic.

Well, I checked out Pauls Chrome Shop in Tennessee. On my 81 the blacked out trim was getting bad so I stripped it and found chrome underneath. So I decided to have a chromed out 81 in place of blacked out. Only parts left are the front grills. Can't buy them chromed (at least I cant find them). Now mind you these plastic grills are around 4" by 10". They will fit in a shoe box. I got my estimate today. $350.00 each. Believe I will leave them black!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is high, I got my rear bumpers done for 225.00 for both. I believe they do a mail service also but they are a little slow.

That's a fast turn around for a chrome shop, think my rear bumpers was 5 months..

I have used NU chrome in MAS in the past, there turnaround is also slow.

Might not be chrome. I stripped it and used 000 steel wool, polished it and it came out great. Close enough to chrome for me. Will post pics soon to see what the forum thinks.
