Control Valve leaking from dust cover

Control Valve leaking from dust cover
Is there an easy fix?
It started when I replaced the pump.
The cover was not on all the way. I have a kit BUT. This is a new valve.
Is there pressure or will a sealed cover stop it?
Easy fix would be replacing seal without removing valve.
Suggestions?

I just rebuilt my original control valve with a kit from Willcox. Fairly cheap for the kit. My valve was leaking at the dust cover.
