Default Weather-strip, How Difficult?

How difficult is it to replace door weather-strips and Glass T-Top weather-stripping on an 81? Is there a tutorial anywhere? And what is the best place to purchase it?

Thanks for the help.

Joe

Just did my doors. Clean all the old glue off the door. Make sure you clean both surfaces with a grease and wax remover. Trial fit the gasket. I had to stretch mine a little. I also didn't glue the top of the gaskets where it screws down to the door. Glad I didn't as I need to make a window adjustment. Apply the 3M adhesive in small bead on both surfaces. Doesn't hurt to have an extra set of hands to hold gasket in place while adhesive gets tacky. Then once its set up shut the door.

I remember it was a great "joy" to get the old glue off the tops

Even with the help of the dog I needed hours

I received my weatherstrip yesterday from Wilcox, guess I'll start this sometime during the week. I think to get my hands wet, I'm going to tackle the tops first. Anyone have any additional thoughts on this? What did you guys use for a release agent on the weatherstrip?

What are you guys using to loosen the old weather stripping? I started taking off the weather stripping on the T-Top and holy **** what pain. Any tips to get the stuff off would be appreciated as I'm doing the whole car.

3M adhesive remover.

I started with the weatherstriping under the hood as it looked/was the easiest.

It really helps to have someone hold the T-top ws as you put the new one in place.
