Default Finished a few mods

So as some may recall from previous posts my car sat really high in back. Not sure of whose spring it was but I hated the look.
So I contacted VBP and received a new 330# composite spring, strut rod bushings and shocks. They had no Bilstein shocks but upgraded to QA1.
So with the rear done it was time to upgrade the exhaust to the 69 style side pipes and covers. Well the previous owner had installed a true dual exhaust that came undone without cutting and used a Map tank torch to expand the pipe fits to slide them apart.
The car now handles and rides awesome I kind of wish I went to the 360# spring though. The exhaust is nice you can still hear the radio and have a conversation in the car. Its not like the old chambered exhaust on the 65 I drove.
So I finally got the time to run the car down for a visit to my Mom and Dads and let him take it for a little ride. Talk about a little kid he was all grins stepping on it to hear the pipes babble. LOL
Any way I think he may be hooked again tomorrow I am going to look at another C3 not sure what is going to happen to mine right now if I get another. I guess my daughter and my Dad may be flipping quarters for it or maybe I will be Vetteless. LOL

Post pictures of this other C3…you speak of.

Is your daughter into cars? If so that is just awesome, and you are a great dad to have raised them that way. Corvettes are more than cars my friend. They are a great way for the family to bond, enjoy themselves, and make a lot of great memories.

Yep Dad is driving 1.5 hours to me then we are going another 1.5 hours to see the could be new C3.
I can remember my memories when I was younger cruising with my Dad and eventually being allowed to cruise solo LOL.
My daughter Sam is really into cars and had thee Vette as a daily driver for about a month or so. I told her when she took it only she could drive it and not let her boyfriend touch it....I wanted her to fell that special bond that only we could share and how special a Vette, after all its not just any car.
Prior to her driving it my Dad had it about a week or so. Funny story here the first time I called down to home and talked to my Mom I asked where Dad was she replied with talking to the Vette. Surely I thought my Dad really had lost the plot here and said What he's talking to the Vette ???? she calmly replied yep ...their horse was getting something done to it but it threw me totally off guard. Most other time I would call and he would be just getting home with it or out cruising it. I did remind him several times I do have the tread depth documented so no Hot Rodding the Vette LOL His answer usually is payback.

defiantly will add pictures

Default re

car looked much better in the photos.... wish it looked that good in person. Owner feels that it would be an even trade for my FLH that has a lot of custom engine work in it. I think my engine work is more than what the car is worth.
Lets see 131k front lip around the hood ledge is separated looks to have had a partial nose replacement, paint looks good from 20 feet up close lousy prep work, rubber nose split complete painted interior and some time of racing seats, more leaks than the Valdez....the list goes on.-The good frame solid and lower birdcage mounts behind kick panels solid.
