My favorite trip so far in the 74 was only about 2 miles. Needed to test the new plugs and went to get the kids some donuts Sunday morning. I pull in and see 2 little old men staring out the window. Walk in and first gent says it's a 74 right? He never saw the rear. Yes sir, first one I have owned and love it so far. He turns to his friend and says remember when we had those cars and the girls we used to get and started giggling. I knew the rest of the morning for them two would be old laughs from back in the day. When I got my dozen for the kids I told the girl to send 2 cups of coffee their way. Just knowing that their day started off with a laugh and appreciation made my day.
My best trip so far has also been my only trip! I drove 20 miles to an "Official Louisiana State Inspection Station"......my (Hybrid) '68/'78 passed all the tests.....got the official windshield safety sticker..........
and OVER-HEATED four times on the 25 mile trip home........

I think all of us have had a trip like that. We all must be sick in the head.
I've got two favorite trips in my 78. The first was to Spearfish, SD, for the Black Hills Corvette Classic. That one was 1,300 round trip. Had a great time. The other was a trip to Albuquerque, NM to see my grand kids. That trip was 800 miles.
