Just a few pics I took of the new paint job. Went from frost beige to dark claret. I found a local guy to paint it pretty cheap, not looking for a $10,000 job, but I think it's pretty decent for a driver. Changed the bumpers to fiberglass, bonded in the seams, and shot the whole car for $3800.
Now I start saving for the interior..............Next spring I think I'm going to gut it, and put in all new. Any words of wisdom, or install tips would be appreciated.

Looks great! I would not want to paint one for $3800.00; ya did good! FWIW. IMO the interior is the worst area to work on! I would much rather do mechanical/ body than the interior...
Looks awesome, especially on that matching garage floor!
I put the floor down last year, and still am impressed how easy it cleans up. I did just lay three coats of wax the day I took the pics, but for a years worth of wear and tear it still looks impressive.
The paint job came out really well for the price. Even the painter hated to see me take it home...........He had it on the lawn when I went to pick it up, like ......free advertisement for his next job. There are a few areas I wish he did take more care doing, but from ten feet out.....looks perfect. I figure the first time I park at Walmart there's going to be dings,.....and I'm not going to sweat that.
Great looking paint job .
Just got mine back as well and almost through with interior . I'm installing new dash , door panels , carpet , trim , seats , etc .....I will say this , the new stuff doesn't just fall into place , LoL . Take your time with it ...

Love the color and that you went seamless with the bumpers. What bumpers did you use? We're going that route with our '77 as well.
Eklers fiberglass bumpers for both the front and back. The painter tried to talk me out of it ,.....but I was set on what I wanted. After he put them on he told me they were almost a perfect fit and that he was glad I made him do it.
