Sometimes they're not on the tank, mine was stuffed in the strut rod beneath the differential.

If you do it with a friend dropping the tank is no big deal at all. Doing it by yourself could be a bit difficult.

I was unable to remove my TS as there was way too much glue on it but I sealed it by covering it with clear plastic and duct taping all around it. I also took a bunch of clear digital photos of both the removal process of my tank as well as the TS itself.
