I got my answer to dash plate question...called Paragon Corvette...1 800 882-4688...spoke with Blane (sp) and he was very helpful. They cover 1956-1982 Vettes...my be helpful to some of you. I ordered my catalog today. Thanks
thank you very much for responding. I posted a question about the removal of the faceplate that covers my radio and gauges in my dashboard. I learned the answer from Paragon Corvettes. I also learned by trial and struggle about the upper light housing that adds to the fun of removing the faceplate....luckily I protected everything in the process and took my time...it all came out fine and no damage so far. I had to remove the radio to find out if my radio isn't working correctly or if its my antenna. I just had my motorized antenna rebuilt and now my radio won't tune in any am or fm stations. It was suggested in this forum that I remove the radio....sounded easy enough....and disconnect the antenna from it and see what happens. Sorry to report no change. Now I am plugging in a new antenna and checking to see if that makes any difference. Wish me luck. If you know of any other tests I can try please let me know. Thanks
Suggestion: use different titles for different threads about different subjects. If they all say "82 coll vette" no one can find them and they might get deleted as dupes.
I tried to put a new antenna in my radio of my 82 col vette and it didn't fit. I know my radio has a digital or led read out on the front but is it a digital radio or analog? The history of all of this is... I recently had my power antenna rebuilt because I couldn't find any original replacement parts for it. Now my antenna goes up when the radio is on and down when off like it should but my radio will not seek/scan or tune in any am or fm stations. That is why in following another forum persons suggestion I took of the faceplate off my radio so I could remove the radio and disconnect the antenna to test if it was the problem. I removed the antenna from the radio and it made no difference. That is why I an asking above about my radio being analog or digital. I believe it is the original am/fm/casette/cb radio. The antenna I bought today is supposed to be universal but it would not fit. It was to big. Do you know of some other way than doing the test I did, removing the antenna wire or trying a different antenna, that unfortunately didn't fit, that I can be certain what the problem is and possibly fix it? Please let me know. Thanks
yes....but I can not manually tune in any am/fm channels or change the channel using seek or scan....plus the cb doesn't work either. Got any ideas of what is wrong?
