Default Seat covers---HELP

Looking for new seat covers for the '77 I just bought. I have been looking around some on the web. Have decided to get leather like vinyl due to the cost. Prices are all over the place ranging from $214 to $417. I want a good quality cover for the price. Does any know a good place to get them and at a good price? Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.

I got my seats, original style leather, from Willcox corvette. They are made by
Corvette America and were just like the originals in my 73. I also replaced the
foam for the seats as original ones shrink over time.
There are videos on the Corvette America website to instruct installation
of the covers for different years. This is for 1976-1978.

http://www.corvetteamerica.com/video/76_78scInstall/

I followed the video for my 73 and had no problems.

"While you're at it!"

Your 77 (and prior) seats have a weak part in the seat frame, where the seat back rests.

http://www.zip-corvette.com/catalog/...-frame-repair/

Suggest you add above while in there. I used Corvette America (Willcox) replacement foam and Al Knoch leather covers. Followed the Corvette America video and everything went well.

ALSO, if you need a pair of good snap ring pliers, PM me. $12 shipped.

2000VG ,

Im pretty sure your 77 seats are pretty much like my 82 . .....
I just replaced my entire interior and i replaced my seats with complete assemblies . New leather & new foam , already put together , Was a snap to install , BUT to make it easier ...take a long Flat tip screw driver and cut a notch into the end ...makes removing and installing a snap

I use Paragon Reproductions, because their seat covers are actually made and shipped from Al Knoch Interiors, but they are less expensive. Instead of $417 from Al Knoch, I got the same seat covers through Paragon for $360 (plus I get a 10% preferred customer discount due to the amount of my recent purchases on other stuff).

Paragon does a great job (IMO)!

I second that. Willcox has very nice covers for the price. Did my 69 in there leather like vinyl great quality. I also changed the foam while they were apart.

My 68 and 70 seats were done by Al Knoch. Also the soft top for the 68.
Al's employees generally just razor blade off an old soft top as part of the replacement. When Al learned that my soft top was an original factory top dating from May, 1968, he had his employees carefully remove the original top so as to not destroy anything. He apparently has an inventory of used original soft tops. He does this so that if someone buys one of his duplicate new soft tops and claims it doesn't look factory original...a NCRS buyer, he can produce a genuine factory original top to show his top looks just like the original.

Looking at my May, 1968 factory soft top, he started talking about the stitching details on my soft top. Can't remember what he said. Apparently someone had challenged his stitching on 68 soft tops, and my soft top substantiated his claim as to how the stitching should be.
