Some have suggested slicing rubber tubing in half and fitting it over the clamshell edge acting as a bumper that will slightly tilt the top half forward depending on the size of the tubing used.

That's what I've done with my '80. Multiple layers of slit heater hose to raise the seat back from the reclining "rocket launch" position... The hose provides a bit of give and is hardly noticeable unless the seat back is folded down.
The 68-78 straight back buckets could be shimmed for angle adjustment, but the clamshell seats cannot.
Try shimming under the rear seat feet.
I put a stack of 4 washers under each side at the rear seat tracks between the track and the floor. That 1/2 inch under the seat track made a big difference in the angle of the seat back.

Washers sound like the best way to go. If 4 washers is not enough I can try the rubber hose trick. Thanks, John
