At one time my car had a big old blower and a throttle cable that had a big old loop in it because it was so long, it busted and I had to get what the 24 hour parts store had to be able to cruise,

Mine is made by spectre and I thought most of their stuff was for the import tuner kids but I guess not I am happy with it, but I don't think I paid that much for it...

' Lokar' available at almost any speed shop, Jegs, Summit
One thing I noticed with both cars the OEM accel pedal doesn't allow WOT even with the new throttle calbe. T

Thank you both! Either setup looks great so I'll see what is the easiest most complete system, it looks like the Spectre may be both of those as the local Pep Boys Speed Shop advertises that they have one. Do either kit come with a grommet to go through the firewall? It also looks like I will have to cut the cable and housing to fit.

Thanks again guys

The 'Lokar' kit has a bulkhead fitting for the firewall, almost like the one you see on the throttle bracket to secure the mounting to the firewall. Cut the schroud first and install. Then cut the cable to proper length. T

From what I've seen with the Lokar kit you have to buy the mounting bracket seperate but with the Spectre you get the mounting bracket, is this right or am I missing something?

To fix the WOT issue bend the gas pedal rod up to allow more travel before it bottoms out on the carpet/floor board.

Seems they bend over time limiting travel

70 bbvert, you think time causes that? Could be right. Seems like everyone I check doesn't WOT. I just thought they made them that way, maybe I'm wrong and they are made kinda flimsy up towards the tip where the calbe attaches. T

Sorry to bug you Terry but do you happen to have a link? I'm looking on Summit but only see cables without brackets...

I see this kit but no Lokar kits. I'm not wedded to having a Lokar kit so I guess this would be just fine!

Been posted many times. I had to "adjust" mine during reassembly also.

My pleasure and thanks. This is the bracket. The small L shaped bracket flexed a bit too much IMHO
