I have a 75 L82 which is stock with original Quadrajet except smog pump and EGR is removed. Distributor vacuum advance appears to be ported vacuum taken from a port above the throttle plates.
What is the best procedure to adjust the idle screws on the carb for this de-smoged motor?
I have adjusted the screws for highest steady vacuum at 900 RPM and it has really helped the drive ability of the car at just off idle. Idles better and doesn't bog or hesitate from when moving from stop in low gear.
Idle screws are three turns out from closed now and vacuum is 13 at 900 RPM. What is typical vacuum for L82?
