68 & 69 Tanks do not have the extra driver side vapor valve, for the gas vapor line to the charcoal canister in the driver side fender. They only have the one 1/4" hose nipple on the upper passenger side. Hope this helps. Bats, being frugal, you could remove the valve and solder a piece of galvanized metal over the hole, but I would only try this on a new, never used tank, unless you really degrease it first. Lou.
I bought a cheap tank for my 69 and it had no vapor return port. I unsoldered the nipple from the old tank, drilled the new tank and soldered the old nipple into the new tank. Didn't realize the cheap tank had no return port when I bought it. Might want to check for it before you buy especially if you are going stock with a Q-Jet. Rick

What I saw was "just the tank" I need what they sell as a kit,
They give you new everything, sender, straps, pads, etc...
Now just to track down what seller has the best price on it...
J...C!!! Why buy a cheap tank? I've bought Quanta tanks for both my 68 and 70. They are factory duplicates and come with all the factory stampings and tin plating. They're only a little over $200. Everything fits correctly..the gasoline gauge, the filler cap.
I've bought a lot of Corvette stuff from ebay. I kept having so much junk issues, I rarely buy from ebay vendors today. Everytime I buy a Corvette part from ebay, I just assume that I may be loosing my money.

Perhaps in some cases but the one I saw is same thickness as original and in my case I would not pay a penny extra to have any "original" fluff,
And didn't you notice most if not all corvette forum supporting venders sell on ebay
I will try that, you would think their tech would have known....
I am missing it,
While they show what they fit being different I asked what was different about the tank itself that detail I am missing???
Others will correct me if this is wrong but from what I know of it, Holley equipped cars,( L88 and L71) fuel tanks won't have the vapor return port on the Pass. side. So that should narrow it down to 2.
The other difference I believe is just an nonfunctioning indentation. Early vs. late production. If you have a 69 with q-jet then you need the vapor return port on the pass. side.
In the cars equipped with Qjets, the fuel pump continually sends fuel back to the tank through the vapor return port in order to keep the fuel cool to prevent vapor lock. I'm quite sure either early or late tanks will fit. Rick

I have a brand new GM tank I think for a 70
Stored improperly but has a few pin holes at the bottom. However I have a kit to fill in the holes and make it new.
155.00 shipped including the liquid kit to repair it.
I don't have the time to repair it.
Grant

69L46 is correct, 69 Qjets have return line.
