Short answer is yes.

Long answer is you'll need to fab up some brackets to reuse the '78 monting holes. Watch the height as well. you might sit too tall and your head will/might push on the top(s). Electric/heat may not work without some wiring mods/changes. Lumbar adjustment might be to close to the door to get your hand on.

lots of info here just search it using keywords.

Genep, I am fabbing this up right now. I have a '78SA, got a set of seats from a '95 or'96 C4 . I bought a set of manual seat tracks for a C4 ( I already knew that the power tracks would be too high) and they were too high as well. Didn't really notice it until I put the steering col back in the car. Could barely fit my fingers beween my leg and the wheel. SO I went back to the original '78 tracks. I basically bolted them down to the work bench, marked the holes, removed the seat and left the tracks bolted down. Then I bolted a piece of flat stock to the original tracks, using the holes that the seat was originally bolted down with. Then I placed the C4 seat on top of the flat stock, marked the original holes from the C4 onto the flat stock, and drilled 4 more holes. You need to add about 1/2' spacer for the handle on the track to operate between the track & the new seats. Then just bolt it in the car. I'm not finished yet, but will post some pics when I get a chance. Good luck, but you better be sitting down if you need to pick up some C3 tracks in good condition! PM me if you wnat some more details.
