Default Oh look!!!!!

Oh look here, no wonder nothing lines up. And they are so proud to put such a big decal on parts. Almost like they are proud of their substandard manufacturing processes.

Glad these cars flex so I can bend the car around this POS.

Ya know it is sad people rip on other nations that make parts. Lets not forget an AMERICAN company sends the request to get it manufactured... And lets not ever forget how effective the unions have been at forcing costs up and the government for forcing regulations off the chart.

Personally if a Union is involved I look for Chinese parts and wish others would as well so we can Crush those unions for wrecking american manufacturing

The unions are perhaps a subset of the problem, but yes, the government regs and medical insurance and potential liability in this litigation crazy world is what drives manufacturing away. parts houses and parts manufacturing can stay in business only until they get sued or they can't comply with the inspectors or the regs. They can stay in business only if their margins are at or near zero

I have been a contractor in a union shop and what I have seen is the basis of alot of problems. Mattresses off in little hideaways so workers can sleep and groups of workers called in to sit around all day and collect overtime just in case they are needed. I had access to the grievance database and you would not believe what it takes to get some people to put in a hard ways work. People refusing to work if they are asked to do work in a tiniest deviation of what their scope is. even if I was a highly paid technician, I would push a broom if asked. But then again, the unions have made massive concessions.

window cranks and wiper switches are my peeve.. you can use them for about 5 times before they break.

yes, what part are we looking at here?

corporate greed , unions and government regulations are all pieces of the same puzzle. being a former union member (many years ago) all they ever did for me was keep deadbeats from getting fired and collected my union dues. the corporation's I have worked for would lie , cheat and steal for an extra 2 cents on the bottom line or for exec bonuses. government regulations are so far over the top its ridiculous , between the irs , epa and osha , not to mention the laundry list of state and local agencies its almost impossible to keep a business going , let alone start a new one.
There is more than enough blame to go around

In the USA, only about 11% (IIRC) of the labor force is unionized. Far from "most people".

Looks like a radiator support to me..

If it is, the one I put in my car needed some "tweaking".

What you call greed is called profit, and is the reason businesses exist. Purpose of a business is NOT to provide jobs, its to make money for the owner, and whatever the market will bear is the basis of capitalism and free enterprise. Socialism is the opposite, and it never has worked.

Anyway, sorry, I know this is a forum about the cars we love, not this.

Great point, and I agree. Regardless if they were in a union, more importantly, they were Americans. And that is just one more reason I love owner this car.

I am American , I do not need a Union to hand me pay , or benefits and set a working quota at the level of a retard ..

Had an Independent built the World Trade center it would had been done in 911 days not 10 years.

A Union is an effective way to take not so bright people and help them think profit is ugly and dishonest..While the Heads of the union live like Donald Trump with one main difference .

THERE MONEY IS TAKEN from a worker not earned for a task or creativity .

You now see why even a foul worker can not be fired ? Do you see it now , real Greed , real theft. That is your Union bosses .. Not Trump he earned that money with ideas and risking capitol .... The American way , not the communists way like a Union boss,, So keep at it Union workers lol ..

How much did the part cost compared to its US (or elsewhere) made equivalent? If my experience is anything to go by, the answer is probably significantly less. If that's the case, I really don't understand when people complain about the quality of an item which is half the price of what they really wanted.

Donald Trump has been bankrupt more time than I can remember and who do you think covers his losses a day later when his personal property remains his. Poor choice of someone to look up to Phil

I really doubt most of us would disagree, on what is right for our country, and our work force, knowing all of the facts and politics involved. We, as a whole are a prideful people.

"Get your facts first..then distort them as you please" a quote from Mark Twain.

If you would like to fight about Unions, please take it to Off Topic or PR & C... there's plenty of it there.
