I have, I believe is a rotor runout problem, about three months ago my brake pedal went to the floor, and the brake light came on. I asked here on the forum and several people thought it might be master cylinder. I got a kit and rebuilt it, hoping that was the problem, but fearing it might be a rotor problem. Well it is back, no brakes and brake light is back on.
My question is where is a good place to get a dial indicator from, I'm not looking for a high price. Just one that will do a good job. I know you get what you pay for.
Thanks
Larry
Very unlikely that your chief problem is rotor runout. Rotor runout would not cause your pedal to go to the floor.
This is clearly a pressure related issue, and you need to start from the beginning:
Did you bench bleed the master?
Did you bleed each caliper?
Did you bleed each caliber in the appropriate sequence?
What kind of shape are the rubber hoses in?
Are there any leaks?

Hi Dave!
Yes I bench bleed the master cylinder, gravity bleed all calipers in sequence, I went around the car three times, and used a rubber mallet to hit calipers to help with any air bubbles. I ended up with a good firm pedal. I have driven the car about one hundred or so miles since then, I have notice the pedal going down a little farther every time I drive it. Yesterday I went to a car show in Bartow, Florida about ten miles from my house, and on the way home is when it went to the floor. I wasn't worried to much, I stilled had a lot of pedal. Now about the hoses, buy looking they look okay, but you can't tell what the inside looks like. I have herd here on the forum that runout can cause the pistons to flutter and cause air to get in the lines. As far as leaks I have not found any.
Thanks for you help Dave ,and D.G.

Sorry, but the symptoms the OP describes is classic rotor runout, either from a loose bearing or a replacement rotor that was not machined correctly to suit the spindle.
I'd suggest bleeding the brakes again to see if any calipers have air in them and the pedal comes back up.

That is what I'm going to do is get it back up on stands, bleed everything again, and also check to see if anything has showed up since the last time. I think I will get indicator and check the rotors while I have up in the air. Maybe take a good look again at any slop in the wheel bearings.
