Default Transporting a front clip

Okay so I would like to transport my old front clip and I will be using my feather lite trailer. I would like to build something to transport it securely. Anyone ever transport just the front clip. How did you do it.
Thanks

We used the little foam blocks that are meant for carrying a canoe on a rooftop, and some straps...... worked like a charm! Gave it plenty of cushion, it didn`t move a bit. Brought it about 40 miles at highway speed. The hood & other parts went in the back of the Suburban.

If you know anybody with a canoe, or kayaks, they should have these blocks. Or you can check them out at a sporting goods store. The little groove was perfect to set the front clip in. Ours never touched the trailer. I would`ve had no qualms about taking this setup cross country, if need be.

In addition, visit your local body shop. These blocks are also used by car manufacturers to protect parts (hoods, trunk lids, etc.) from damage during shipment. Most shops just toss them in the garbage.

You can always cut grooves in them with a hack saw to fit your clip.

My son-in-law (R.I.P.) told me...."Tie it down.....then tie it down again"---meaning---double the tiedowns....even when you don't need to!

That advice kept my Harley Davidson from falling over while being trailered.

I have a box Cost me 200.00 to build
make me an offer. Not sure how I can get it to you???
I had a 71 front clip shipped to me in this box,
I used my boat trailer to haul it home from the freight company.

Thanks for the heads up DG . I will make sure I do more rather then less.
