Windstar spark plugs
My '98 Windstar has had a bad head gasket for well over a year. Fortunately it has been leaking the coolant out onto the intake manifold.
Well, two days ago it started missing big time! I thought DOH she's finally had the green weenie! I figured for the sake of 30 bucks worth of spark plugs I would try new one's and see if that helps.
OMG what a friggin' nightmare to change plugs on that thing! I had to take the cowl off and then it was a squeezer to get my hand down in behind the engine. Just finding the PLUG was a trip. Getting ratchet down in there was another trip altogether.
It took me about five hours to do the plugs ( that included cleaning everything up before I reassembled any of it)
It figures, it was the second to last plug I did that was the culprit ( middle plug on the front bank). Well, I know where the head gasket is leaking now.
The miss has been cured....for a while.
