Hello all
Okay our 80ish C3's come from a era that used front bras/mask and I've been thinking long and hard about installing one to the Collector Edition. Not only for protection and to cover imperfections but really for the look of that era also. So please post up your pix's of your C3 with the bra/mask.
Don't have any pics but had a mini bra on my '91 vert and it rained on a trip and I didn't take off the bra. It clouded my paint. My advice is use it if you must and if it gets wet take it off immediately.

If you take care of your car and front mask it is not going to hurt anything. Be sure to wash and wax before you put on the front mask. Always take it off when washing the car. If it is raining either take off the mask or don't drive. Water getting trapped under the mask is bad. if you just put it on and never take it off that is when you can have problems. Keep the mask clean and in like new condition and you shouldn't have problems. Not everyone likes the looks of them but if taken care of a good quality mask is not going to ruin your car.
A bra is the perfect accessory for those who wish to add something that is both ugly and will ruin one's paint regardless of the precautions one takes. If this is what you are after, then by all means, go for it.

To each, his own. I like mine and like the look. Many who see my car agree.
I'm with you, not looking for approval just want to see how the C3 would look with one on. from your avatar looks like you have the full coverage Mask. All the cautions are well taken and I'm the type guy that would do all the necessary things/maintenance to maintain the Mask to avoid any damage.
I really don't care what people think because I drive my car. Will head out on 50/75/100 mile trips and the front end is saved by having it on. When I return home I will remove it or if going out the next day leave it on. Never wash the car with it on. Using it for 5 years and no problem with paint so those who say it ruins paint never seem to post pictures, and describe how they took care of their car.

I like the look of the bras on some of the cars. But unfortunately I agree that they cause more problems than they are supposed to solve. i put one on my 86 vette for a drive from San Jose to Orange County. It scuffed the paint where the edge went over the hood. Now I may need to leave it on to hide the place where it scuffed up the paint.
That's exactly what I'm trying to do, with the picture request. The picture request simply help me envision how my C3 may look, does that bother you?
I have owned my vette for 20 years now . For much of this time it did wear a front bra . The number one reason I kept bra on was to hide some damage that the previous owner had done to bumper . After I had car repainted in 2012 I started to notice rock chips and wanted protection for front again . Found a clear plastic product at local decal shop and had them apply to front . Gives protection to paint and does not look like it is wearing anything . I think this gives the best of both worlds
Nope. Doesn't bother me. It's your car and your bra. What have you decided from pictures? Will your car look better with the bra or without?
Bra/mask purchased and will be installed, now will it look better no. But it won't look worst either I will use it as needed and may leave it on. Thanks to all that has provided pictures much appreciated very helpful. I will post pictures when it arrives late in January.
