Default Side marker light lenses

I have a set of the metal housings for my 74. Anyone know where I can get lenses? Went through a few vendor catalogs and there don't seem to be any sold.

I just picked up the driver's front side marker light assembly from Eckler's for my '72. It's a whole assembly, can't change just the lens.
With that said... is there an easy way to get to the assembly to change it?

I was looking for a replacement rear side marker lens for my 75 which i got stripper on, no such luck so far, guess i will have to wait till the next Blooming-ton Gold in Indy next year and get a used one.

Have tried 1000/2000 paper and polishing it but still looks bad to me.

All 68-82 marker lights were an assembly, made up of the lens and housing. The lens came glued into the housing. They were never offered separately, either by Chevrolet or as repros. The lamp socket was removable from the back, to facilitate replacing the bulb, so there was no reason to have the lens removable.

Unfortunately, the lenses weren't always glued in all that well, often causing the lens to fall out. This was particularly true of the 70-74 lamps, with the chrome plated pot metal housing. The late 74 -82 lamps had a plastic housing, which the plastic lens tended to bound too a little better.

If you've lost a lens, short of finding a good used lens and re-gluing it into your housing, your only option for a new lens is buying a complete new, $62.00 marker lamp assembly.

Got it... $63 + shipping made it $80. Ouch. In any case, I finally found the method to get to it. Just a matter of removing the front grill on that side to gain access. Just wish I had paid more attention to it when I noticed it was loose. Figured I'd tighten a screw or something when I got it back home, but it jumped off before I got it back.

Just wondering. Kind of figured that was the answer. No way in hell I'm going to pay 2-$300 for a new set. Ill be creating something in my workshop. Either find another vehicle lights to cut up. Or cut them out of some other plastic.....
