Get Your Vintage CA Plates!
CA DMV is offering the chance to get your 1956 – 1986 vintage license plates! How cool is that?
1956 – 1962, Black on Yellow
1963 – 1968/69, Gold on Black
1969 – 1986 Gold on Blue
The Gold on Black plate will definitely be made because there are over 13,000 orders. However, the other two plate series need many more orders submitted to be approved by the state – 7,500 orders total for each plate series must be received by the end of this month in order for the state to approve the plate series.
The details are at the CA DMV website (Legacy License Plate Program), but, again, you have to act fast – they need all applications by the end of this month!

That's neat. My coupe is a California car and I have the original license plate for it. To bad I live in Missouri.
