Default Need Help decoding this rear end

OK, I *thought* this rear end was a 3:70 Posi from a '72. In examining the stamping (pictured below) I'm confused.

It appears to be AB W 137E 2 5.

The W and the ending 5 are very faint.

Colvin's Corvette Numbers book explains the format as:

AB = 3:70 (check)
W = Warren, MI plant (OK)
137 = Julian date (around May17)
E = Eaton Posi

But supposedly there's supposed to be a single digit for the shift number before the E... and I don't know what the 2 or 25 is at the end. 1972? 72, May? Something else?

Here's 2 pics, blow up as needed. I have no point of reference for the car it came out of.

I'm not great at these rear ends. Where else would indicate the year? Help please.

The "2" after the E is the shift, 2nd shift. No idea about the 5.

Normally the Julian date has four characters (Month 1-12/day/year). My 1970 diff. is stamped 4 6 70.
In 1971 they only stamped one to three characters for the Julian day of the year. (No number stamped for the year.)

The AB code for the 3.70 axle ratio was also used in 1971, perhaps it was used past 1972 as well.

I'm seeing 71-75. So by no year shown, I assume its correct that this is a 370 Posi produced on the second shift, on Julian date 137 of 1971-75?

edit: my '69 NCRS JG mentioned the year in the rear end stamping for 69/70, which is not detailed in Colvin's book. Lots of info there, but again, more errors.
