Need help. Car wont start.
I am having some issues when trying to start my 73. I get lights and headlights but when I try to turn the key I get nothing. I've already checked my starter and I believe it could be my clutch switch. do you guys know where this is replaced or any ideas what my problem could be?
Reaching the wires is not too hard tho . Stand on your head ..lol Find the switch up hidden top area of clutch pedal . There is a small linkage from switch to pedal. Follow wires down.
There is a pair of purple heavy wire leads from switch , It breaks this section of the power circuit to the starter ..interrupt safety
Pull the two terminals apart , this takes the switch out of the circuit. The switch has two leads out of it.
Make a jumper , to male spades snd short five inch piece of wire.
It's a quick test . You are bypassing the clutch switch .
Be sure to push clutch in ...LOL
It's a bear to replace .
