Default Aftermarket speedometer cable

Hey fellas, I upgraded all my gauges with the Autometer Sport Comp and now I'm doing the speedometer and tach. The Autometer speedometer is the threaded type unlike the original push on type and would like to hear from anyone who has done this mod what cable you used.
Thanks

You might want to try a '68 cable. The '68 tach and speedo were threaded.

Call Willcox customer service: 1-812-588-7103. They should be able to hook you up with the right cable. They are usually very helpful.

I took the cruise control that was trashed off of a 77 I had- bypassed the transducer and replaced the 2 short cables with one 71 inch long cable. Original speedo was the push on type, but I bet the same length with the connectors you need would work.

Sometimes you don't have a choice. You gotta do what you gotta do. I wish everything was made in America but that just ain't the way it is anymore.

The main thing is....the part works and the car stays on the highway!

Did you get a chance to install it yet (now I'm wondering if my original is slip-on or threaded....let me stick a hand under the dash)
