Can anyone help decode my original paint code? Why is there an L after 19? I know 19 was the code for black, but what is the significance of the L? The car originally seemed to be blue, did an entire repaint on the car down to the glass and there was no signs of black paint. Is the code misprinted?
Thanks for your help,
Joshua

Reason: More information added
For those reading (you will see your paint code twice on the trim tag; I.e. "70U 70L". The "U" represents the upper part of the car and the "L" shows the lower body paint code. I imagine this only applies to Bowling Green-built cars (late 2981 and all 1982 C3s which is the only place where two-tone production Corvettes were made.

Bowling Green two tone cars have three codes.
The cars were completely painted in the primary color, upper and lower. After the primary color was baked, the secondary color was sprayed. Autumn Red and Dark Claret.

There you go - I like how it separates the 2-tone contenders from the pretenders
