Calling myself out!
How do you screw up a tire rotation? Let me tell you. On my '70 the car was driving fine, running smooth at 60, 70, 80. I rotated the tires and the car acted like I'd removed all of the wheel weights. Shaking at higher speeds. Investigation revealed that even though I'd snuggled the wheels first, then used a star cross pattern to tighten I still managed to '****' two wheels. Discovered the wheel was not perfectly seated on the rear hub. Note to self - be more careful. Just FYI.
