I wanted to say that even though I am a new C7 owner, I have always liked the C3 (my neighbor had one when I was growing up) and come over to this section of the site to see the progress of the various projects. It's a blast to see the updates. I am still a bit far from retiring (still in my 40's) but I would love to try to tackle a C3 project someday when I have more free time. Keep up the hard work guys.

Btw. You guys seem to be a little more civil to each other then a few of the C7 guys (some of them are just old grouches)...
... if you want an affordable C3 Corvette, today would be the day to stuff one in your garage - find a project, and collect parts over the decades. Once you're an old grouch (though, I'm a grouch and 48 - so I'm not sure of your point), C3s will be C2 money...
I agree... I enjoy watching other people`s build threads. Makes me realize I`m not alone. Also helps prevent a lot of trouble by watching what others have done with particular issues.
We`re still working on our 71 coupe. Got about half the interior in, then we still have the rear suspension, and the engine will be last. https://www.corvetteforum.com/g/album/1332864

Since my thread is a year old it's been a real eye opener. If anyone would have said it would take me more then a year to restore your car I would have thought they were crazy. Boy was I wrong. I sometimes get comments like "your doing more or your getting more involved then I am going". Well its wasn't by choice. Example, seat belt brackets which hold your butt in the car are gone, or the bolts can't come out etc. The best thing to do at that point is replace everything. With my particular restore their are a lot of things like that. This car was in terrible shape when I got it. I got this before I joined or even knew about the Forum. So in closing you plod along trying to make a safe, nice looking chrome bumper car and enjoy the experience along the way. This forum has been a great place with so many people knowing what you are going thru or have the expertise to help.
Okay I'am done. BYE!
