Thanks Eddy, We just got 4" of snow and more coming tonight, so it will be spring time before it sees the road again.

Congrats on getting it in!!!

I did what a pretty smart guy did years ago- Carrol Shelby.

Got the back of the car up in the air- and had a much better angle.

yeah, I lowered the nose of the car about 4" and left the rear alone, that helped a lot, BUT I left the headers installed and the fan shroud in too... shroud made it hardest, then the motor mounts didn't want to fit down on the horns, took a lot of wiggling and bouncing to get them to slowly creep into place and get the bolts through them.

also the reason I customized the hoist plate with the extra lift hole farther out, really comes in handy now

now just slowly start hooking everything up, BUT IT'S IN!!!

update! getting measurements for new driveshaft! I know people talk about the 700r4 yoke being tight... wow they weren't kidding...

Bowtie 700R4 swap xover, looks great, but still not thrilled about several details with it

tubing was cut with a chopsaw, was NOT deburred before powder-coating
the holes drilled for the ebrake cable were drilled at an extreme angle, resulting in the pulley being in a bind and not even able to move
the holes on the long bolt mount passenger side were off by almost 1/2 inch, driver side fit perfectly (granted I know these cars tolerances were all over the place, but considering the holes were off-center on the bracket of the crossmember by about the necessary amount, im inclined to think its poor QC)

I have a Big Block. I removed 6 bolts and removed the radiator support. Then I had lots of room to pull the engine and trans together.

hey i bet that WOULD give lots of room 😋

i didnt want to break the a/c system open, so i just worked around the ac componants and left them installed, i probably should have taken the shroud out first though, it wouldnt have been any worse to remove it other than i already had it bolted in completely

The way i do it that makes perfect cuts for me:

go to home depot electrical section, there will be a small electrical tool section, they have a large wire cutter by Klein, about 20" long for cutting heavy copper wire.

Then from the same aisle, grab several rolls of Super +33 electrical tape by Scotch.

tape the hose to be cut about 1.5 wide TIGHTLY stretching the tape as you wrap it, put 3 layers across the area to be cut, the take the wire cutters and cut the hose squarely, unwrap the tape and enjoy your perfectly and cleanly cut hose which is now ready for your -AN fittings.

I found out that I need an adapter for connecting an line to hardline.
Have to get them. So today I only routed new hard lines on the passenger side to fuel pump.

Well not too bad.
It depends what I need. If it is Corvette specific then I have to order it in the US and waitfor it other things are easier to get too. Internet made our us car lovers life much easier.

got today off work due to rain, ran around doing errands and got the driveshaft dropped off to be shortened, hopefully will be done by next Tuesday... at that point I bolt it back in and the motor is connected to the wheels, still need work on shifter for the 700r4 conversion and wiring the converter lockup

You use to be able to go to the autoparts store.... the guy behind the counter could tell you how/what you needed- and if he could he couldn't- then he'd call the guy that knew or send you to the guy that could ....

A big step forward...OK- it really doesn't look any different....

BUT- it's now filled with Antifreeze!!! A big step- had a couple leaks that I found with air- HOWEVER- when I filled it - got a small leak on the block bleed bolt...Fortunately it was just not snugged up all the way. Next oil..then gas...
