Got the new red lines fitted. Sad to see the Eagle GT2's go but very happy with the new look

Uninstalled (again), finished up the data plate and installed the wood-grain insert I picked up at Carlisle last week
Done for now (I think I said that last time as well...)
Pulled all the plugs and got the motor spun over to #1 TDC, hopefully get the new distributor installed tomorrow... hopefully

I drove my Vert to a friends 1970's themed birthday party. I took him for a ride in it and I think he was a little scared of it. I wasn't hot rodding, but did step it down and let off right away once and it lit the tires but then they grabbed and the car jerked ahead as it was coming down in RPM. His eyes were pretty big.

Ahhhhh it's Miller time. I just finished cutting and buffing the new paint job. At least for now.... if we ever get a day with some sunshine up here in Michigan, I'm sure I'll see some spots that need more attention. It didn't come out perfect; but I doubt anyone looking at it will guess it was done with a roller and a brush. I'll post a few pics when I can get it out in good light. For now the best I can get is a pic of my own reflection
Looks like it's about time to get some dandelion killer on the front lawn !!

Finally a decent day yesterday to get the car out in the natural light. I still need to address some problem spots, but my semi-low budget boat paint roll & tip paint job is cut and buffed. Obviously no wax at this point, just polished. I present to you the end result...

I replaced my left pillar weatherstrip retainer recently. I have not been able to get the window adjusted with the new General Motors Restoration part. The retainer is simply not the same as the factory piece. I have adjusted the new piece and nothing seems to work. I cleaned up and painted the old original ws retainer. I used the factory part and now my window adjusts to a point that I can deal with. Here is the comparison of the two parts below. The one on the right is the factory piece. It's wider and has a somewhat different curve then the aftermarket part on the left.

New front plate! Hey, one is not required in this state, and I wanted to fill in the gap on the 'vette, so why not go with one that is authentic for the year it was born? Plus, the color kind of matches.

The squirter fastener screw on the primary side of my 650 Holley Street HP stripped. So rather than repair it with a threaded insert, I decided to buy a new Holley 750 Street HP main body upgrade p/n 134-300S. Jetting and squirter sizes are different from my tuned 650 so I'll need to dial it in.
