I have seen people brush it on is this the best method to coat the frame if you dont own an hvlp gun and spray booth.

Yesh hopefully only for a short time. My goal this week is to get the frame pressure washed and looked over then painted with more than likely por15.

This stuff works well down the inside:

I've had good results with a die grinder / wire wheel, Duplicolor Rust Fix and Rustoleum.

Finished cleaning and putting the engine back together after new fuel line and strut brace install. Put new cushions in the drivers side. Seemed like everything on the cushion were narrow, had call for bubba. Now a good detailing and wait for the salt on roads to go away. And it's cruising time

I internally coated mine using eastwood. i used 4 cans and it worked great. I used green so that I can see any missed spots better. I recommend using cardboard or a plastic sheet under the frame because it WILL be messy.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Last night i pressure washed the frame, trailing arms, center section, trans cross member, and leaf springs.
Hopefully round 2 can happen tonight when i get home.
Only found minor surface rust on a few places. Should come right off with some rust remover and be ready for paint in a couple days.

I got my transmission mounted to my new removable x-over.
Since I'm running sidepipes, got rid of the mechanical parking brake by using an electric one, body is not off- so I didn't want to weld- I just used some 3" x 1-1/2" x 3/16" 36" in length steel rectangular for about $20.
Cut out the crossmemeber w/ a sawzall-

I finished all the holes on my new cross member, now I have to get four nuts tack-welded to the outer ends. In the meantime, I put new rubber on my steering coupling.
