Differential bushing thump..
found the cause of the thump i would hear when puttin it in reverse.
I replaced this about 8 yrs. ago. I used the oem large washer instead of the one in the kit. as you can see it was too thin and started bending. Had trouble prying down on differential bracket so i had to release the spring from the trailing arm bolts, which helped alot, also had to disconnect the driveshaft to get the bolt / rubber grommet in the crossmember bracket. about an 2 hour job for me. im slow.

Common problem with an easy solution. "I know a guy" who bought a new differential thinking that was the problem. Later found out he just needed to replace the diff mount bushing. live and learn.
