Looking for a Spring
I am looking for the correct size and strength spring for my heater/ac box for my '68 roadster. It is the spring on top of the ac box on the interior of the fire wall. It holds the inner door closed until you open it with the cable/dial controller. I can't find it in the manual. I would like to know what it is called and where to find one. I'm not having much luck at the local hardware stores.

Sorry here.....two days ago I could have removed my spring and gotten pics and the info, but I put the dash back together. I'll check the AIM. Be back in 10.

10-4. Not in mine either but I think something is supposed to be there to hold the door shut.

Top View
The top view of the heater box (showing the spring) is shown below. Since I can't find it in the AIM I don't know if it's the correct one or if it even belongs there. What is there looks a little cheesy.

I gave up and went spring searching at the local hardware stores. Found something that appears to work. We shall see. Thanks for helping.
