'79 Glove Box lock removal trick??

'79 Glove Box lock removal trick??
Doing some spring cleanup/fix up, trying to remove glove box lock. Found two slots on the shaft inside, but can get no movement of the casing to remove the lock for cleaning. Anyone know the trick to remove??
