Wheel Adapter Info

Going with different wider wheels. Present ones are 17 - 8" with 285's rear and 245's front. Now I have no clearance issues. New wheels will be 17 - 9" with 275's rear and 245's front. Math tells me I will need a 1" spacer on all four. Don't want to go through changing studs and want to know your views on using wheel adapters. Pros and cons please.

If you have the correct offset you do not need spacers. I am running 18x10 in the rear with 5.5 backspace and no adapters or spacers. Running a 275 40 18 with no rubbing

I will not use spacers beyond 1/4" max. Wheel adapters I have no problem with, prefer not to use them but I have a set of 1" just in case I need them when my work is finished. My alignment shop has no problems with adaptors but with spacers they said by law they cannot use more than 3/16".
