I just cleaned the parts with a can of Paint Prep from the local parts store and Dupli Color vinyl/carpet dye.

Now I need to fix another problem, I started it up and let it run for a bit, but, it wouldn't shut off ! even with the kill switch turned off, the radio turns off but not the motor, hmmmm.

What I did do when the column was out, I sprayed some lube on the connectors, I wonder if that is causing it.......
