Default Help with reinforcing front end

Is there any reinforcing pieces that helps align the hood with front nose piece. I took mine apart for painting and can't remember if there was something that connects to headlight bar to radiator support? Seems very fimsy

Model year? Do you have the assembly instruction manual (AIM)? Do you have the radiator support out of the car?

You say you took something apart. What did youu take apart?

Gm# 331841 grille to nose support rod.
It bolts to the bottom of your rad support and the other end to the rear of your nose bar.

1969 corvette.
Yes I do have aim.
I did have the radiator support out but now lts in but where the point on the hood almost touches the front piece where the headlights are mounted doesn't line up. Hood is higher than nose piece. Its looks awful, like it needs support.

That's why AIMs are handy.
