Default Radiator Brackets

I am having the worst time getting an aluminum radiator in this c3. I should've just used stop leak every other day geesh...

Background: 69 convertible auto, no a/c, sb
So finally bought and installed a 26in core support for a 26in core radiator. The welds on both ends are off by maybe a quarter of an inch on the bottom. The issue now are the upper brackets. The passenger side one kind of fits but the left one is like 3 inches too high. Are there some special aluminum brackets i need? /has anyone ever had this issue?

From whom did you buy the radiator? If not a Dewitts there is an excellent chance it will not fit right.

I am not related to Dewitts either.

There are two companies making reproduction core supports and one of them never seems to get it right. I used to sell the supports but I had to quit selling them because of this problem. The problem I always ran into was the bottom right weld on bracket, which is the only difference between the 26" SB and 27.5" BB. Never in the right place. I used to drill out the spot welds and move the bracket all the time. So if the radiator isn't sitting down into the lower brackets right, the top will appear way off. 3" on one side says the radiator is crooked.

Here are some pics that i took. I'm kind of at a loss right now with all these half *** parts I'm getting. I got the radiator support from Davies. The only vendor that has actually sent me good stuff is Eckler's. If you're in Austin and have metal work skills I would appreciate your help.
