Checking rear window defogger grid?
One of the things I have been wanting to fix on my 82 is the cut grid lines in the rear window. I can tell where exactly the grid has been cut through and looks like someone took a razor blade and scraped across several lines. So I masked off the lines and applied the copper paint and let it dry. Now today I tested the lines and I have heat up to my repair but nothing after. I thought you had to have a positive and negative to make the connection but I guess not since it's DC. I'm using a heat tape to check and what it is is heat sensitive plastic that turns colors when heat applied. Now right where my repairs are really changed color like there is more resistance there and that might not be good. So even though I can't see any more cuts on the grids I repaired how can I find the cut.
