Interior rear view mirror replacement.
Which vendor sells the replacement mirror/glass only for the 75' interior rear view mirror with the map light option?
I remember seeing them at Corvettes At Carlisle about 5 years ago but can't remember which vendor had them.
In the meantime I'll check to see if there is a good write up on "how to replace the interior rear view mirror glass".

The light is just mounted in the bottom of the housing: wouldn't the glass itself be the same?

Thanks for the reply Kris Tunetso:
Good question and rather than assume, does anyone know if it's the exact same size, with and without the map light option?
If it's the exact same size, does anyone know which vendors sell just the mirror?

If the mirror glass is all you need, try finding a local glass/mirror shop and ask them if they can cut you a piece to fit. It'd probably be cheaper than buying one from a vendor, and you'd save on shipping. You'll have to install it yourself either way.
It's too bad the replacement mirror assembly, with map light, is so expensive.

Thanks for the reply Kris Tunetso,
I thought that due to the tilting of the rear view mirror to get the "night light" effect, the rear view mirror wasn't a standard type mirror.

It may be: I don't know. You can always ask them if they can do it, or can put you in touch with someone. The way I see it: phone calls are free.

Thanks again for the reply, come warmer weather I'll give them a try. If memory serves me right I did see a vendor selling them at Carlisle for around $40.00 but forgot to pick one up and can't remember which vendor.

Call a glass/mirror shop and ask. You also want to talk about having your existing mirror resilvered.

I think the above should work but if not, Willcox has them. Cheap and a perfect fit.
