Convertible Deck Lid Hinge Color
A good friend of mine is working on a frame off on his 68 BB convertible. Prior to placing the body on to the frame he has a question about how far the body color goes down the deck lid hinge(s) and to type (color) of the primer on the lower portion of the hinge(s). Picture?? Years ago he did a blue repaint and he is now wanting to it repaint back to original (yellow). Thanks you in advance for any insight you can provide. Hugh

I think you will find a lot of inconsistency on how the convertible deck lid hinges and springs were painted. It wasn't an area of focus.
On my 68 the hinge arm is pretty well covered but no attempt was made to paint the spring. It has some body color over spray on it but not much. The spring has more carpet glue over spray than body paint. The hinge and spring were originally black in color.
