Wrapped the steering wheel on my '79 this weekend. Amazon had a custom leather wrap that fit perfect. Took about 2 hours because you actually stitch it on (something I think I would be better at the second time).
I have used those on a few cars in the past and they always looked nice and turned out good, but haven't seen them for sale in a few years. thanks for reminding me about them and where to get one. used to come with 2 big needles to stitch it up IIRC...

I did the "realy-old-school look"....I criss-crossed the leather wrap after attaching it to the steering wheel.

I did a wrap on my 71 many years ago. I had to punch all the holes in it and used a heavy nylon thread. .
