I know this is a dumb question but here it is. On my 69 where does the bottom bracket attach to on the block? It's not the sme on my 75 and it was missing on the car when I got it. I looked in the aim but it really does not show.

It actually mounts to the end of the exhaust manifold.
Gentlemen, Thanks for this on-going thread. This is the information I am looking for. But I have a ? or two. I know the bolt pictured in the bracket goes into the alt. What about the opposite end of the bracket, does that get bolted (stud) into the water pump along with that long, ugly top bracket? That side bolt? does that connect to the exhaust manifold? Last question, will I need a different bracket for hooker headers sidemount?
Thanks for your guidance.
Todd
OK, so your correct on the long bolt going through the bottom of the alternator. The other 2 holes mount to the side of the head as you can see in this picture. No special bracket for hookers.

Beautiful...your pics are exactly what I'm looking for. One for question, do you have access to your power steering pump? Thaat's where I put the alternator brackets and seems to me it blocks the power steering pump.

I have the same problem: the PS pump cap sits right below the alternator bracket. I can get the cap off, but just barely and it scrapes the side of the lip, rendering fluid measurement with the dipstick impossible. Im going to see if I can clock the PS Pump further toward the engine and get that cap out from under the bracket. It'll mean a shorter belt, but it'll be worth it for ease of access.

Yes its close on mine also but I can get the cap off and get a reading. Need a long funnel to fill. Works well for me.
