Default 1976 Stingray wheel options

I have a road worthy 1976 Stingray. I am looking for help in updating a few things. I want to put modern Corvette wheels on it, to give it an updated look. Are there any Corvette wheels that will just bolt right on? If not, what modifications will I need to make to get started? Thanks.

From C4 on up (1984) there are NO Corvette wheels that will fit on your car without "adapters". Do a search using the word "adapters" and you will get an idea what I'm talking about. Also try to narrow down what style wheel you like then post up the question and you will get help on what sizes will work and how thick of an adapter you will need.

I am looking at putting C6 wheels on a C3. Has anyone done that? Are there any pictures? Any idea what size spacers to buy?

Corvette Central has an online wheel offset calculator to compare sizes.

http://www.corvettecentral.com/wheel-offset/

If you are going to try to put C6 rims in the back you may also need to go to an offset trailing arm. I am not sure the stock rims will fit without interfering with something. Stock C6 size may be 19x10 and the tire size is 285/35-19.

Look up some of BeeJays post. I think he is running some wide rims with either a C5 Z06 style

A 19X10 with the backspace corrected to 5.5" should work in the rear with a 275 wide tire without issue. An offset trailing arm is not needed with a 18" diameter wheel or larger as the frame not the trailing arm becomes the limiting factor.
Checking into BeeJay's threads is a good idea as he has discussed in detail about stuffing the widest wheel/tire combinations of C5 Z06 wheels under the fenders of his C3.
